Vice President JD Vance “inadvertently” failed to report to ethics watchdogs a luxurious historic million-dollar mansion—complete with a pool and hot tub—that he owns in Ohio, as well as two other properties, a PunchUp investigation has found.
The Hillbilly Elegy author, who has a net worth of $12 million, has proudly positioned himself as a champion of blue-collar Americans, leaning on his hardscrabble Appalachian roots and pushing populist policies such as aggressive tariffs and immigration crackdowns as he aims to become the next U.S. president.
He seems to have been decidedly less eager to trumpet his ownership of a historic property in Cincinnati, which he purchased in 2018 for $1.4 million and is now worth upward of $2.3 million.
